Childrens Ministry
Our purpose in Children's Ministry is to teach and model the authentic Christian life. We have the awesome responsibility and privilege before the Lord Jesus, along with parents, to teach and nurture each child in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. (Matt. 28:19-20; 2 Peter 3:18)
A playground area was recently installed for our keiki behind the youth tents! However we need someone who is willing to install a chain link fence around the children's ministry and the backyard area. We need an estimate of what it would cost for materials. Our desire for each child is:
• That they know the Bible is God's revealed truth to man and to "hide His words in their hearts that they might not sin against God." (Ps. 119:105; 2 Tim. 3:15)
• To show them that there is a loving Father who created them, loves them, provided a way through His Son that they can know Him, and has a wonderfully unique plan for their life. (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-10)
• To develop Christ's character in them that they, "would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man." (Luke 2:52 - spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically)
• To teach the children to share the love of Jesus with others. (Luke 2:49)
• To build close relationships with others in the body of Christ, both peers and adults. (1 Cor. 12:12-31; Heb. 10:25)
We encourage the children to stay with their families during worship at our Sunday morning Celebration Service. They are then dismissed from the service to attend their Sunday School Classes. This allows them to participate in worship, see their parents and other adults worshipping the Lord, and to be a vital part of the body of Christ.
We presently minister to four age groupings:
Little Lambs (0-2)
Noah's Ark (3-5)
Kingdom Kids (6 and up)
Jr. High and High School
