Ministry Priniciples

Calvary Chapel Kauai has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ, to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit, and to make Him known. We are committed to the task of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, equipping believers for the work of ministry, and expanding the kingdom of God.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and that it is relevant and applicable to our lives today. Therefore, we place great emphasis upon the teaching the Word so that God may instruct us as to how He would be worshipped. (1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17)

We believe that God is worthy of all praise, reverence and love. Therefore, we give great place to worship in song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives as well, whether at home, at work, or in church. (Col. 3:16; 1 Thess. 5:16-17)

We believe that every believer is called to abide in Christ through the study of His Word, prayer, and fellowship, and by the yielding of our lives to the Holy Spirit for His equipping and empowering.
(Eph. 4:15-16)

We believe that love is the greatest demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ. Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words aswell as by our actions. (Jn. 13:34-35; Phil. 2:3-5)

We believe that Christian service is the responsibility of all believers. Our goal is to develop the ministry of each member of the body of Christ to the benefit of all. (Eph. 4:11-15; 1 Cor. 12:4-7)

We believe that it is the privilege and calling of every believer to be actively involved in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others who do not yet know the joy of following Jesus Christ. (Matt. 8:19-20)
